Grants
The All Our Kin Collective is humbled and honored to have received key grants from multiple philanthropic organizations, whose generosity allows our programs to flourish.
The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation
In January 2022, FLC was awarded a $1.5 million grant through the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation's “Humanities for All Times” Initiative.
The grant allowed the All Our Kin Collective to form with an expanding vision, including an online class for language practitioners and teachers, a certificate program for language revitalization and program design, and summer courses for multiple languages.
The National Endowment for the Humanities
The All Our Kin Collective has been made possible in part by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities: Democracy demands wisdom (NEH).
NEH supports diverse curricular development in the Humanities at public liberal arts colleges. Fort Lewis College faculty and students applied for the grant in April 2021 and were awarded the grant in January 2022.
