All Our Kin Collective is excited to welcome three young Native filmmakers to campus for the Native Film Showcase the evening of Thursday, November 13th. These young artists are excited to share their voices, creativity, and experiences with the FLC community.

Jenson Yazzie (Diné)
University of New Mexico, College of Fine Arts (Studio Art)
Film: Final Prayer (2025)
Synopsis: As we walk through the mountains, a prayer unfolds—spoken for all beings, calling for reciprocity, kindness, care, and love. This meditative short invites viewers to slow down, listen, and reflect on the ways we nurture one another and the world around us. Final Prayer was made in UNMs Visual and Sonic Landscapes class (Native American Art History).

Film: Spider Grandmother (2024)
Synopsis: A young girl tries to teach herself how to weave in a small bedroom, but magical help comes along the way through the spirit of Spider Grandmother. This is an animated short, in the Navajo language. Spider Grandmother was created in UNMs 3D Animation and VFX with Blender class.

Nataaní - Nigizhig Chee (Diné and Ojibwe)
8th grade, The Public Academy for Performing Arts (Film)
Film: Adult Teeth
Synopsis: A hand-drawn animated short about the awkward, tender moments of middle school friendship. When a close-knit group of friends navigates the ups and downs of growing up, one member struggles with the anxiety of having braces and not wanting to show their smile. Through laughter, support, and shared experiences, they gradually learn to embrace themselves, discovering the confidence to laugh freely, smile openly, and simply be who they are among friends. Adult Teeth was made at The Public Academy for Performing Arts in the beginning film class and produced for the Lensic Future Voices of New Mexico Youth program.
